Wizard of OZ

While i was reading the Wizard of oz an odd idea came to mind. that maybe Dorothy was actually having a mental breakdown and that all the characters within the novel were actually part of her. i must say that this made the read much more entertaining. i enjoy the novel, i just wish i read it when i was child or teenager. Then the whole life lesson part of the novel would of been more interesting to me. but reading Wizard of Oz as though it was a mental break down was rather interesting because that ment for the novel she wasn't actually trying to get home, she was more trying to find and save herself. After reading the novel i wanted to see if there was anything to my idea of the wizard of Oz being a mental breakdown, i didn't find anything on that but i did find an interesting article that said that the Wizard of Oz was actually a modern talk on politics at the time. the author of the article was calling the emerald city Washington and the wizard was the president at the time. i found this to be rather interesting but it sounds to much like a conspiracy theory.

Reading

i have always enjoyed reading, as a child i would read goosebumps. as i grew up i was introduced to Stephen King, Neil Gamen, Chuck pollankic. i love reading but as a child i had a hard time with it so i had to work at it so i could read as fast the the other kids. One of the major reasons i enjoy reading is that it takes me out of everyday life and i am placed within the world of the novel. its an escape from everyday life.
